An NDIS Planning Meeting is a key step in the process of getting support through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia. It’s a meeting between you (or your nominee/guardian) and a NDIS planner or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) to create or review your NDIS plan.
NDIA-managed means the government pays providers directly, but you must use registered ones. Plan-managed gives you flexibility with providers while a Plan Manager handles finances. Self-managed offers full control, but you manage payments and records yourself. Combination allows you to mix these options based on your needs.
The NDIS funds "reasonable and necessary" supports related to your disability—like therapy, equipment, support workers, transport, and more.
